The black carbon fiber one can be found a couple of places around the net... it's one of the less exciting models (IMO), but it's currently about $90.

I expect prices to start on the more exciting models around $100, but settle in the 50-60-70 range perhaps. Just guessing though.

That's inexpensive for a nice pen, or really expensive if you're used to Bics... It's similar to their watches, a lot more than a Timex and a lot less than a Rolex.

Really like the looks of them but would not pay that for one. I am sure there will be plenty who will.

I would love to own a couple of those pens, but I just can't see myself spending $90 for a pen. Maybe I will change my mind when they air.

Quite true, many here may be shocked to find out that some of the better collector pieces in the pen world can run up to five figures. It will be interesting to see just what kind of quality they are.

That would be a reasonable price...

I look at the price as a collector piece, it's for some, not all.

There are those that collect pens (my hobby pre-watches) to the same extent that we collect watches. Just as many of us might pay $1000+ for an Invicta with a top movement, many pen collectors will pay $1000+ for a pen with precious metals and/or outrageous design plus durability. I for one generally won't spend more than a few hundred for either these days, but there have been exceptions (e.g. Zeus Bolt).

I can purchase a good Zebra pen that is durable and can take a lot of abuse for approx $5.00 and writes very well too.

Collecting pens is the last thing I need to start doing in addition to everything else that i collect. However, I may pick one or two up for everyday uses. But I cannot afford to start a pen collection. That's what I need to remember at least.

Thats what I thought until I just picked up the new Deep Blue Bluewater pen and it put me up to 41. They take up a LOT less space!

I gave up collecting pens for the same reason I gave up cigars - I could no longer afford myself. Thankfully collecting watches has not yet reached that point since I drool over the realy expensive ones like the UN Moonstuck, and Diavlo Freak are not even a consideration - yet.

I've been waiting for these since they were announced months ago. I'm in sales and love using a nice pen. Can't wait.
