I support whatever Marianne Chase decides for C-D. Marianne is extremely bright and is a shrewd business individual with sound business acumen.
The heavyweights like Invicta and Croton have the business structure and alternative product lines to support both retail and shopping channel/e-commerce. C-D will continue to evolve successfully with it's 2010 and beyond business plan for the changing global economic conditions. I believe in Marianne. - Andy H. in MO

Marianne is a class act, every time she makes an appearance or speaking with her on the phone @ CD. What other Co. could you actually talk with the designer and co-founder of the company. I wish her and her husband good health, she will be missed at the SHOP. But CD has to do what is right for there company!!! I wish them well.....

THIS IS AN EMAIL I RECIEVED FROM MARIANNE CHASE ABOUT THE SPECUALTION OF HER AT SHOPBNC.
Thank you so much for pointing my attention to all the kind chatter emails, I had absolutely no clue that this was happening. However, it is nice to be missed but at the moment I have strong personal reasons for staying at home, watches are currently not my number one priority. My office is running smoothly and I try always to be within reach if an important issue comes up. If any of the Geeks need a specific model no longer available at ShopNbc, our customer service here at Chase-Durer will be more than happy to take care of each and everyone. It appears to be a done deal so.... I rushed to the shop and ordered a Chase-Durer Men's Conquest Mother-of-Pearl Dial Stainless Steel Watch
and it Shipped today !!!! This really  puts me into the NBZ Oh well I can start up again in March

The shop has two C/D White Conquests the price is $169.50. J174982. C/D is selling the same watch for $595. The watch looks great and is very accurate.

All,
I spoke with my friend Marianne Chase, President of C-D, for about 45mins this afternoon, and Marianne confirmed that she is attending to some personal needs at home. Marianne expressed that she has an excellent working relationship with ShopNBC, and please do not read anything into her nor C-D being apart of future shows. I believe Marianne, in time, will address this to the WG community directly, and she expressed that she is so appreciative of all of the WG communities concern and positive support for her and C-D.

I spoke with someone at CD the other day. I was told that Marianne was not sick and that those were rumours only. It is her husband that hasn't been well.
Jim Skelton said we wont see Chase Durer on SNBC until next year.

i too hope she will be staying with snbc but there has been alot of changes with all lineups and some venders are now gone. i believe her responces about snbc maybe hurting sales with other stores and retail outlets but she is one classey lady and the c/d watches are superb. i wish jim, tim or shawn (who was great with wings android show a few nites ago, welcome back to watches shawn!!) (and tim!!!!) would mention something on air but i think that might not be possible for them because of conflicts with the heads that be.

I know when I saw the sport Conquest on shop for 168.00 I could not get to the comp. quick enough. I love it at 48mm w/ a low profile maybe 10/11 mm. I love the case, design, comfort etc. I beleive it a prudent business move. She most certainly can expectto get more for her watches. I believe them to be that Good.

i wonder why jim has not mentioned this in watchgeeks, i am sure he has been reading the posts on this but maybe he cannot without shopnbc's ok. maryann if you have left shopnbc we will sure miss you, your watches and you are top quality and as someone said a classact! cloudchaser
