I think the hands on this one are some of the best looking of all Invictas ever. I'd like one just for the great dial and hands but I am not a fan of digital. Especially when it's as dark as this one. Great styling though.

Ditto congrats to all that got one but it seems like it's going to take a wile to learn to use all functions.

The sea spider(ani-digi) is like that it's not sink up I had to change it when daylight went in effect. so that would be reallycool mvnt to have. but by the time Imade up my mind they were gone.

I have used every digital timer possible except Suunto to time yacht starts. The only concern that I have is the difficulty in using the digital functions. I think the crown needs to be pulled out to adjust or use.
The SANIII has only two pushers. One of my inexpensive Optimun Time digitals has six pushers. The key on using the racing timers is ease of access instantly.
This watch will be great for demonstrations to those willing to watch but I reluctantly passed since I won't beat up a watch this expensive on a sailboat. It would be great for timing steaks however. It is also great for bragging rights.
My fingers hovered over the computer (do I want it or not) then it was sold out.
I'm sure that those that got it will be pleased with such a complicated movement and the "Limited Edition Status" I wonder if this movement will be available for the SANIV in more quantity.

SailRacer Let me figure out what button to push

I think new technology is good for watches I have always admired Citizen and Seiko and Tissot for their ability to put it to use. I am sure the same was said about chronos when they first came out that you would never figure out how to use it. I dont think you can compare this to the Sea Spyder I owned one and returned it because of no backlight. I cant imagine what a Venom will cost with this mvt. That came out at around 700$ with a G10. Jim said this mvt. costs more than my beloved ETA 2824-2.I think it will be upwards of 1000$. It will be interesting to see it.

Congrats to all that picked up this watch, looks like a great movement. But I could not get over the digital part of this watch, I just hate digital watches. (i know you can turn it off) Also, The last thing I want is another black face watch, if it was a green face, I would be all over it.

Perhaps by the time the Venom version comes out I'll be able to pick one up.

Any idea when the Venom version is hitting the streets?

I'm with Jim on this piece, it's the first Invicta in recent history that I would feel confident that you could MAKE money on this one at $399 and probably even at the $510. My collecting is going in a different direction entirely, but I have to admit that this piece REALLY tempted me tremendously.

I sincerely congratulate everyone that got one. It's an extremely cool piece that I think WILL go up in value. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see SAN IVs with this same AniDigi movement, but I'd bet BIG BUCKS that it and the Venom AniDigi won't be $399 when first aired... and that the SAN IV anidigi won't be limited to 250 pieces, either.

It looked very complicated. Even Jim had a hard time showing the display.

I was not interested in this one mainly for price but also wasn't too into the ani/digi part and had actually been holding out for the Subaqua Noma III Swiss Quartz GMT Stainless Steel Watch ( actually bought it and then canceled the next morning) but when this came on air and I got to see it in action, the price dropped with value pays, and to top it off at limited 250 I just couldn't stop myself. I have a rule that was broken twice last night. I have told myself that I wouldn't buy the same style of watch as I couldn't justify having the same style in my collection. But that all changed first when I saw the red RD in gold, had to have the red, then followed by this SAN III. It will be the first limited addition since my 007 and only my second overall. I only hope nothing else comes up I can't live without....

OH, BTW, I just checked and there is 7 available...at full price...

I also snagged one. Couldn't resist! I have always wanted an ani-digi ever since I saw an X-33. Just couldn't afford that one. Looks like it has already shipped and should be here in Colorado on Friday . WooHoo!

Saw it last night with Jim & Eyal I think it's cool looking. I'm not a ani-digi guy but when done right it can really be worth it.

Well, congrats to the 244 out of 250 that bought one of these! I pulled the trigger last night but apparently when I did, they were "sold out!" NOW, there are still a few left but back up at the $510 price w/ count 'em.... ZERO VP's AND $15 for shipping! There's got to be a way to not get screwed out of deal when you're ready to buy and can't because someone cancels their order and it's too late for the one that really wanted to buy it!

Oh well... SAS here I come! Like I said... enjoy it to the 244 who were able to order and KEEP their order!!

I'm not bitter... really! You probably saved me from my wife's vengence!! LOL

to all fellow watch geeks :

This san III ana digi is waaaayy cooooll!!!! the all black stand out like crazy, & it is fairly easy to operate, except I had the hardest time figuring out how to use the back light. I asked Jim same question this morning, and he replied that the crown should be in the 1 position, then you press the button @ 4oclock....voila Jim said let there be light.
I cannot confirm this however until I get home tonight, as I am wearing the Reserve Bolt Automatic in ss & blk ip with grey, sweet.

this watch is absolutely stunning!!!! who knew!!!
I was fotrunate enough to be gifted with #21 of 250, and oh boy am I glad & lucky...

The back light was an ordeal to figure out.....but its easy to do ...they just dont explain how to turn it on in the docs with the watch.

1. Unscrew the crown and pop it to pos.1

2. then push the crown away from you while pushing the crown in...you will feel a click and the light will go on.

If you just unscrew the crown and then push in back in like the directions imply...it wont go on...the only way I found to make it work was to actually apply pressure pushing the crown away from me while at the same time pushing it in.

Hope that helps.
